DUTIES (cont.)

Humility

texto-arabe

texto-arabe

"Call upon your Lord in humility and in secret. Verily, He loveth not the transgressors." (7:56)

texto-arabe

texto-arabe

"Walk not in the earth with boasting, for so you cannot cleave the earth nor equal the mountains in height." (17:38)

texto-arabe

"Walk not in the earth with boasting, for so you cannot cleave the earth nor equal the mountains in height." (17:38)

Justice

texto-arabe

"O you who believe! Be persevering in the cause of Al'lah as righteous witnesses; and let not the enmity of a people incite you to act unjustly. Be always righteous, for that is nearer to virtue. And fear Al'lah. Verily, Al'lah is aware of what ye do." (5:9)

texto-arabe

"And do not approach the property of the orphan, except in the best way, until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight with equity. We do not oblige anyone except to the extent of his ability. And when you speak, observe justice, even if the person concerned is a relative; and fulfil the covenant with Al'lah. This is what He commands you, that ye may remember." (6:153)

texto-arabe

"Verily, Al'lah requires you to abide by justice; to treat others with kindness; to give as kinsmen give to one another; and He forbids indecency, manifest wickedness and transgression. He exhorts you so that you may come to realise." (16:91)

Promote peace among people

texto-arabe

"There is nothing good that comes out of their secret meetings except when they decide to spend for the cause of the poor, work for the public welfare or promote reconciliation and reform among the people. And whoever so acts, seeking the pleasure of Al'lah, We will soon bestow upon him a magnificent reward." (4:115)

texto-arabe

"And if two groups of believers fight against each other, make peace between them; then, if after that, one of them transgresses against the other, fight the transgressing group until it returns to the command of Al'lah. Then, if it returns, make peace between them with equity, and act justly. Verily, Al'lah loves the righteous." (49:10)

Patience

texto-arabe

"And ask for help with patience and Prayer; a difficult thing indeed except for the humble in spirit." (2:46)

texto-arabe

"O you who believe! Seek help with patience and Prayer; verily Al'lah is with the patient." (2:154)

texto-arabe

"And We will test you with some fear and famine, and with loss of wealth, and loss of life, and loss of fruit; but give good tidings to the patient." (2:156)

texto-arabe

"Piety is not that ye turn your faces to the East or to the West; the truly righteous is he who believes in Al'lah and in the Last Day, and in the angels and in the Book and in the Prophets, and gives his money for love of Him to kinsmen and to orphans, to the needy and to the wayfarer, and to those who ask for charity; and for the ransom of the captives; and he who fulfils the Prayer and pays the Zakat; and those who fulfil their pledge when they make it, and the patient in poverty and in misfortune, and the steadfast and steadfast in time of war; these are they who have shown themselves truthful and who fear God". (2:178)

Purity

texto-arabe

"A mosque founded on piety from its first day is more worthy for you to pray in it. There are men there who yearn to be purified, and Al'lah loves those who purify themselves." (9:108)

texto-arabe

O ye who believe! Follow not in the footsteps of Satan; for whoever follows in the footsteps of Satan, know that he most assuredly ordains immorality and manifest evil. And were it not for the grace of Al'lah and His mercy upon you, none of you would ever become pure. But Al'lah purifies whom He wills. Al'lah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing". (24:22)
