Without an audience and with several matches postponed of the teams participating in the Champions that reached the eighths and fourths: Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid; and that of Sevilla, winner of the Europa League

The 2020-2021 league starts with measures for COVID-19 from the beginning

REUTERS/ALBERT GEA - The 2020-2021 league starts with measures for the COVID-19 from the beginning.

Finally, there will be no football this Friday and the League will start tomorrow Saturday at 16:00 with the Eibar - Celtic match. Perhaps the most interesting match will be the Valencian duel between Valencia and Levante on Sunday at 21:00h. The rest of the matches will be:

Eibar - Celtic. Saturday at 16:00h
Granada - Athletic. Saturday at 18:30h
Cadiz - Osasuna. Saturday at 21:00h
Alavés - Betis. Sunday at 14:00h
Valladolid - Real Sociedad. Sunday 16:00h
Villareal - Huesca. Sunday at 18:30h
Valencia - Levante. Sunday at 21:00h

Atletico - Sevilla, Barcelona - Elche and Real Madrid - Getafe are postponed.

A very decaffeinated start: between the lack of public for the COVID-19 and the postponed matches of the big teams, the interest has dropped a lot.

The second round to be played on the weekend of 19 and 20 September will already feature the match Real Sociedad - Real Madrid in the debut of the whites in this League. It will be on Sunday 20th at 21:00h. The white team was eliminated in the round of sixteen and will join the matches before Seville, Barcelona and Atletico, who will play the next round on 26 and 27 September.

The promoted teams this season are Elche CF, SD Huesca and Cadiz CF

Cádiz CF has practically closed its squad, it has bought several players that it had on loan and who were the architects of the promotion, it has incorporated Negredo, a striker of great experience who will guarantee, we hope, a number of goals that will help the Andalusian team to maintain itself. The best player of last year, Alex Fernández, brother of the Madrid player Nacho, continues.

The SD Huesca has signed a goalkeeper of guarantees as Andrés Fernández, but still has pending some incorporation more to close the group.

Elche CF has to speed up their efforts to complete their squad. At the moment it is scarce and has nothing to do with last year's.

Celta CF has to give more of itself this year. They have a great squad with a striker with Aspas, Santi Mina and Nolito who for themselves want a lot of teams. It is not a team to have a hard time like last year. It doesn't have renowned incorporations and Rafinha seems that he won't return on loan. At the moment he is with Barcelona doing the preseason.

Like Celta CF, another team that didn't meet the expectations last year was Real Betis. The star signing is his coach Manuel Pellegrini. As for the staff: Joaquin and 24 more... The goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is the most interesting incorporation.

Deportivo Alavés continues with the same squad plus the incorporation of some loan players like Deyverson. It would not be bad for him to join Machín's team.

SD Eibar starts the season with a lower number of players than last year. The leaves of Orellana and Charles have not been covered. Mendilibar continues as coach and will have to solve the lack of goals.

Real Valladolid have strengthened well a priori. Orellana and Wiessman. This last Israeli player scored 30 goals last year in the Austrian league. Also a first level goalkeeper: Roberto.

Levante UD have almost completely maintained the team from last year. It incorporates De Frutos bought from Real Madrid. Los Morales, Sergio León and Campaña aim to repeat the results of the 19-20 league.

Athletic Club is looking to its youth team to replace the veteran players Aduriz, San José and Beñat. They do not plan to incorporate any new players. Javi Martínez has been mentioned, but it seems to be complicated.

CA Osasuna had a great campaign last year. Practically all the players are continuing. He has had the misfortune of the injury of the Chimmy Avila of gravity. They do not discard to sign a forward.

Valencia CF has a difficult task ahead of them after liquidating a large part of their squad. The losses of Parejo, Rodrigo, Ferran, Garay, Coquelin and Piccini have not been replaced by any signings. Even so, the team has a very acceptable staff but it will be difficult to look at the European positions.

Getafe CF finished the season disappointingly perhaps because of the great start they had. But in general the season of the team was good. The confinement didn't benefit him, on the contrary. This year without European competitions they can raise their competitive level again. He incorporates Enes Unal and Cucho to replace Molina and probably Angel who will leave the team.

The Real Sociedad continues with the same staff except for Martin Odegaard who returns to Real Madrid. On the other hand, a high level signing is incorporated: David Silva. The Real didn't like the confinement either. After a very good start in July the team vanished.

Granada CF had a magnificent season. As a result they will play in the Europa League. It has been strengthened to face the three competitions. It doesn't want what happens to many teams that not only have a bad season, but run the risk of being relegated in their first year in Europe. He incorporates Jorge Molina and Luis Milla and loses Carlos Fernández who returns to Sevilla CF. Yangel Herrera follows.

Villareal CF is clearly committed to Europe. It has added Parejo, Kubo, Coquelin and Rulli to its ranks. Together with Asenjo, Pau Torres and Gerard Moreno, Unai Emery can put together a very competitive team.

After winning the Europa League, Sevilla FC continues to add quality. The departure of Ever Banega is counterbalanced by the arrival of Ivan Rakitic and Oscar Rodriguez. Reguilon seems that he will not extend his loan so they will have to incorporate a left wing.

At Atletico de Madrid it doesn't seem that there will be any changes. There are rumours of Morata leaving and the possible arrival of Cavani or Raúl de Tomás, but these are all speculations. They focus on the arrival of Yannick Carrasco and the definitive explosion of Joao Félix.

At FC Barcelona the tension continues with the theme of Leo Messi and the departure of Suárez. For the moment, only Trincao and Pjanic seem to be the new incorporations. There is talk of Depay, Bellerin on loan, Lautaro and Eric García, but it doesn't seem to be enough without Semedo, Suarez, Vidal, Umtiti and others. Koeman's task is a difficult one. Only the performances of Ansu Fati with the selection excite Barcelona's people.

The league champion, Real Madrid CF, doesn't seem to expect any incorporation. Only Martin Odegaard. It seems that 2021 will be the year of the great incorporations. Mbappe, Camavinga and Upemecano. This year will be the one of the great departures: at the moment James already left to Everton, but it is expected that Bale, Mariano and Mayoral will leave the team definitively.

In summary, an austere league in transfers, without spectators in the stands and with a schedule that does not help the fans to become passionate. I must remember that Euro 2020 will be held in June 2021.
