The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) opened its doors on Monday 26 September, organised by the Emirates Falconers Club and sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency, the Hubara International Conservation Fund and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, which is hosting the event on its premises.

The 19th edition of ADIHEX arrives this year 2022 when this fair is considered the largest event in the falconry, hunting and equestrian sector in the Middle East and Africa, which is a great tourist attraction for all citizens of the Gulf. The fair offers visitors the option to experience Emirati culture and heritage through the showcasing of its environment and wildlife, with falconry featuring prominently as an essential element of the Gulf country's cultural and social heritage.

In addition to the official sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency, the Hubara International Conservation Fund and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, in addition, the "Hunting Arms" sector sponsor is Caracal International LLC, the silver sponsor is Q Properties, and the visitor experience partners are Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, POLARIS-Specialized Sports Equipment, and Luxury Carts Group. While the show's feature sponsors are Smart Design and Royal Tent Company, the official automotive partner is ARB Emirates, and the supporting partner is the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The first edition of the fair took place in 2003 and has since attracted 1,750,000 visitors and hunting enthusiasts in the Arab world. Last year, despite pandemic restrictions, there were 105,000 visitors from 120 different countries. At the start of the 2022 fair, there will also be a large number of visitors.

ADIHEX has scheduled more than 100 different shows and activities, as Majid Ali al-Mansour, chairman of the Senior Organising Committee and secretary general of the Emirates Falconers Club, pointed out.

Among the 100 or so shows, the activities organised by the Emirates Falconers Club stand out, due to the "sacred" role of falconry for Emiratis. A must for all lovers of this art. Although this year's edition mixes tradition with new technologies and the advances that have been made in the sector.

Along with the environment and nature, the arts and crafts sector also has a presence at the fair to showcase the products of Emirati artists and creators who showcase the national artistic cultural heritage.

Majid Ali al-Mansour emphasised that ADIHEX is not only an international forum for manufacturers of hunting equipment and weapons, or for falconry and equestrian fanatics, but hosts several participations by artisans that are in harmony with the essence and content of the event, which embodies history and heritage and simulates the ancient environment, as they are derived from the authentic customs and traditions of the UAE. This helps to ensure sustainability and the promotion of handicrafts, as recalled by Middle East Online.

In order to attract as many visitors as possible, the ADIHEX Senior Organising Committee launched a major international marketing and promotion campaign through the exhibition's representative offices in several European and Asian countries, as well as messages on social media, digital and traditional media, targeting interested visitors from different continents.
