Moroccan player needs minutes to play in Qatar after Halilhodžić's departure

Ajax want the best Ziyech to take him to the World Cup with Morocco

When it is a World Cup year, footballers are not afraid to take a step back in order to gain momentum and be able to be at the biggest football event. This is the case of Hakim Ziyech, the Chelsea player who is not sure if he will get many minutes with Touchel this season.

At the moment, the official numbers say he has only played 27 minutes in three Premiership games. Two on the bench against Tottenham and Everton and that half-hour in the heavy defeat to Leeds. Before that, he had been more present during the English team's pre-season

It is true that his numbers in London are somewhat lower than in his years at Ajax. Last season he made 44 appearances and scored eight goals. And the year of his arrival, in the 21/22 season, he made 39 appearances and scored six goals. His best performance was in 18/19 with Ajax where he played 49 games and scored 21 goals with that 1-4 at the Bernabéu against Real Madrid where he scored one goal.

The player from Dronten (Flevoland, Netherlands) could return to the team that catapulted him to the Premier League and the Morocco national team. If Ajax lose Antony, Ziyech could be the perfect replacement for all parties.

The Dutch champions will be playing in the Champions League this year and that would be a significant improvement for the Moroccan, who would be assured of a place in Schreuder's eleven to be in a position to defend the Morocco shirt ahead of the World Cup in Qatar next November.

With Morocco having officially sacked Halilhodžić, Ziyech is once again one of the most important players for the Atlas Lions. The Moroccan has no excuse and will need to improve his off-field behaviour now that he is free of the coach who publicly criticised him so much.

Although Manchester United have completed the signing of Casemiro, they have yet to make a move for him given his poor start to the season. This player movement would be good for a striker like Ziyech and, above all, would allow Morocco to face a very important World Cup with the best team in its history.
