ASADEDH denounces the death of the Saharawi Limam Ould Chegali

From the Saharawi association for the defence of human rights (ASADEDH), we regret the death in Cordoba and in circumstances yet to be clarified of the young Saharawi Limam Ould Chegali.

At the same time, we condemn the decision of his host family to cremate him, an act that violates all Saharawi traditions and does not respect the will of his biological family.

We also recall that from this association we have been denouncing for more than a decade the programme wrongly called "Holidays in Peace" which is a programme based on the instrumentalisation of Saharawi minors coming from the Tindouf camps in propaganda acts in different regions of the Spanish territory, in addition to its psychological impact on these minors. 

Finally, we would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased young man, and we demand a thorough investigation of the case in order to clarify the real causes of his tragic death.
