The Board of Trustees of the Three Cultures Foundation elects Concha de Santa Ana as new managing director

The Three Cultures Foundation

The Board of Trustees of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, meeting by telematic means, has unanimously elected Concha de Santa Ana as the new managing director of the institution, after the former director, José Manuel Cervera, expressed his wish to be relieved of his post a few weeks ago.

The Minister of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior of the Andalusian Regional Government, Elías Bendodo, thanked José Manuel Cervera for his work in his almost six years at the head of the Three Cultures Foundation, as did the Delegate President and Advisor to the King of Morocco, André Azoulay.

Both also agreed on highlighting Concha de Santa Ana's career, which has been particularly relevant in international relations, the European Union and cultural action. Hence, the members of the Board of Trustees have endorsed her appointment not only as the most suitable person to take the reins of this institution, but also to lead the process of union between the Three Cultures Foundation, the Barenboim-Said Foundation and the Legado Andalusí Foundation, of which Concha de Santa Ana has been the director since June 2019.

Born in Granada on 18 January 1973, Concha de Santa Ana holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Granada (2001). She has been a member of the Spanish Parliament in the IX, X, XI and XII legislatures (2008-2019) and a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe during the XI and XII legislatures (2016-2019). She was also Chair of the Committee on Culture, Education, Science and Media of the Council of Europe during the XIIth Parliamentary Term (2018-2019).
