The president of the PP, Pablo Casado, held this Tuesday a telematic meeting with the Moroccan Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Aziz Ajanuch, president of the Independent National Rally Party (RNI), and with the secretary general of the Istiqlal party, Nizar Baraka, coinciding with the bilateral crisis.

The meeting took place following the request of both Moroccan parties and, as indicated by the PP in a statement, Casado referred to his public statements and pointed out his prudence when talking about foreign policy outside Spain.

The telematic conference took place at a time of clash with Morocco, which last Friday warned Spain that it should not "minimize the serious impact" of the crisis due to the hospitalization in Logroño of the leader of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali.

Casado assured that, if he reaches the Moncloa, he will make his first official trip as president to Morocco, a tradition that according to the PP has only been broken by the current head of the Executive, Pedro Sanchez.

In addition, he informed them of the five parliamentary questions registered by the PP for the Government to give explanations on the irregular entry, without communicating and with false identity of the leader of the Polisario Front.

Casado, who had charged this Monday against the "irresponsibility" of the Government with Morocco before an "unprecedented crisis" and reproached that it has angered Algeria, Morocco and the Polisario "at the same time", advocated this Tuesday for "strengthening the fundamental bilateral relationship for trade, culture, tourism, security, energy, health, agriculture and fisheries".

The leader of the opposition also expressed his commitment to "intensify" a "strategic" and "fundamental for the European Union, the Atlantic area, the Maghreb region and the African continent" neighborhood relationship.

The PP also recalls that Casado already met with the Moroccan ambassador, Karima Benyaich, last November 24, after the then second vice president and leader of Unidas Podemos, Pablo Iglesias, recalled that the referendum on self-determination in the Sahara is still pending.

Casado criticizes the foreign policy of Sanchez and of "irresponsibility" with Morocco

Already last Monday, the leader of the PP, Pablo Casado, criticized the foreign policy of the Government of Pedro Sanchez, which he considers "null" and has reproached the "unprecedented crisis" with Morocco, in his opinion an "irresponsibility". The foreign policy of Sánchez's foreign policy is bleak. Spain does not look good, Spain is not trusted and is once again seen as a problem," Casado said during the closing of a day for Europe Day together with former Foreign Ministers José Manuel García-Margallo and Ana de Palacio.

The PP leader considered it "unusual" that U.S. President Joe Biden has not called Sánchez since he was elected, believes that Spain is "non-existent" in Latin American politics and has disappeared from the Pacific Alliance.

"We have managed to anger Algeria, Morocco and the Polisario at the same time", in a crisis that he sees as "unprecedented" and has warned: "This is no longer a snub, it is a real historical irresponsibility with partners as important as Morocco".

Casado recalled that immigration, tourism or fishing policies depend on relations with the neighboring country, after Morocco warned Spain last Friday that it should not "minimize the serious impact" of the crisis due to the hospitalization in Logroño of the leader of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali.

Although Defense has announced a tribute at the Torrejón base, Casado criticized that the withdrawal from Afghanistan -the last 24 soldiers return next Thursday, ending a mission of 19 years and 27,100 troops that has claimed the lives of 100 soldiers and two policemen- "passes without pain or glory" because a country must "mourn its fallen".

In addition, he denounced that Gibraltar "has been abandoned by default", despite the fact that the PP left an agreement with the European Union that allowed to take advantage of the 'brexit' to negotiate the co-sovereignty.

He defined himself as a "pragmatic Europeanist"

The president of the PP called to continue defending the EU, which emerged to face "populisms" and "nationalisms", threats that in his opinion have returned and not to be distracted from the real problems of the people.

He also celebrated the fact that Brussels proved them right by pointing out that half of the judges of the General Council of the Judiciary have to be elected by their own colleagues.
