Dantor Trío y Diego Villegas en concierto con la Fundación Tres Culturas
After participating in the 25th edition of the Festival de Cuerda Pulsada in Rabat, Morocco, Dantor Trio will be performing for the first time in Spain in concerts in Malaga, Seville, Madrid and Barcelona, continuing in France.
Dantor Trio has already had an interesting presence in festivals since its formation in 2004; after playing in Chicago, Indiana, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Florence, it comes to Spain for the first time, passing through Morocco.
This musical project, awarded in 2019 by Ibermúsicas, is made up of brothers Daniel and Israel Torres, voice/guitar and violin respectively, together with Aaron Cruz, bass. Together they perform the compositions of Daniel Torres, showing the versatility and plurality of sounds that are extracted from the strings of these instruments, managing to create a type of jazz full of nuances, with hints of improvisation and Latin jazz. They are three exceptional musicians who live in Mexico City and who generously wish to share their music, expanding on different stages and spreading their passion for what they do.
This combination of musicians will build bridges between jazz, Cuban music, classical music, singer-songwriters and flamenco, especially with the appreciated collaboration of the Seville-based musician Diego Villegas, who is currently a benchmark on the flamenco instrumentalist scene. His creative talents as a musician, composer and arranger stand out.
Free admission with prior registration through the Three Cultures Foundation website.
