"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, offers the key points of world current affairs every week. 

The radio programme will deal with the new scenario of the relationship between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia. The bitter enemies in the Gulf region have announced the restoration of diplomatic relations. Iranian Shiites and Saudi Wahhabi Sunnis are ending several years of confrontation. However, this does not mean an end to the struggle for hegemony in the region, although there are indications that Iran has had to assume important conditions in order to regain relations with Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the United States and Israel view this new situation with much more than suspicion. Marta García Isidoro, an expert international analyst, will shed light on this issue. 

Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine continues. The collision between a Russian fighter jet and a US drone in Black Sea airspace has raised tensions between Russia and the United States by many degrees. For its part, Poland is sending fighter jets to the Ukrainians. Moreover, on the ground, fighting and shelling are spreading to villages near Bakhmut where the evacuation of civilians still in the town continues. Lucas Martin, an expert international analyst, and María Senovilla, special envoy to Ukraine, will explain the most relevant details of the military confrontation on Ukrainian territory.
