The programme deals with the indictment of Donald Trump, accused of a possible bribe to a porn actress to keep quiet, the freezing of judicial reform in Israel, the great industrial development proposed by Morocco and the war in Ukraine

"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses international current affairs in depth every week.

Donald Trump, former president of the United States and Republican candidate to contest the White House in 2024, has been indicted by a New York grand jury on criminal charges related to a possible bribe to porn actress Stormy Daniels to buy her silence during the 2017 election campaign, which also violated election laws. "De cara al mundo" will provide the key facts on the matter.

Meanwhile, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been forced to freeze his judicial reform to prevent the crisis from turning into a civil confrontation. What Netanyahu is doing is winning because the prime minister is keeping his hand on the pulse of the hundreds of thousands of demonstrators who have been taking to the streets of the country for the past 12 weeks. He is not shelving the measure, but postponing it in a search for consensus with the opposition. His aim, he said, is to "provide a real opportunity for real dialogue". Gabriel Ben-Tasgal, Israeli journalist and political scientist, will shed light on the situation of this issue.

For its part, Morocco has confirmed in Casablanca the move to a new stage of economic development with the holding of the first National Industry Day, which, with the backing of Mohammed VI, is intended to become a benchmark event for the country's industrial players.

The speech read on behalf of King Mohammed VI by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, served to inaugurate the event, which demonstrates the importance of moving in the right direction by coordinating the efforts of all the country's institutions: businessmen, legislators, public bodies and professional associations.

Those attending this event, organised by the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade and the employers' association CGEM (General Confederation of Moroccan Companies), had the opportunity to hear that for the monarch "the industrial sector is a basic lever for job creation, a stimulus for productive investment and a support for exports, as well as promoting development at the service of the citizen". Fernando Domingo, journalist and Atalayar correspondent in Morocco, will explain the details of the Moroccan industrial plan.

The war in Ukraine continues and the radio programme will once again report on the latest details of the war. Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky insists that they will not stop until the last Russian remnant in Ukraine is gone. The battle and shelling in and around Bakhmut continues. Meanwhile, a Russia correspondent for the US newspaper The Wall Street Journal was arrested and charged with espionage. Lucas Martin, an expert international analyst, and María Senovilla, special envoy to Ukraine, will discuss these issues surrounding the war on Ukrainian territory.

As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. They will discuss the war between Ukraine and Russia, the political crisis in Israel, the impeachment of Donald Trump in the United States and Morocco's industrial development and investment programme.

"De cara al mundo", Friday 31 March from 22:05 to 23:00.
