The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is continuing its international campaign to help countries deal with the health crisis triggered by COVID-19, a scourge that has already killed more than 577,000 people worldwide and diagnosed more than 13.2 million cases.

The Gulf nation insists on its determination to support other states through the shipment of medical equipment and food products; equipment that is serving as a great contribution to more than one million medical professionals around the planet.

Mexico and Kazakhstan have been the latest beneficiaries of this valuable Emirati assistance. This is the second time that the Emirates has provided assistance to the Asian country in its fight against COVID-19. The Middle Eastern country sent eight metric tons of medical supplies to Kazakhstan on Wednesday.

This supply will serve approximately 8,000 medical professionals as they work to contain the pathogen on the front line, reinforcing national efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19.

"The UAE has spared no effort to provide the best health and medical assistance resources to support Kazakhstan and strengthen its capabilities to deal with the impact of the COVID-19 crisis," said Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan al-Jaber, UAE ambassador to Kazakhstan, as reported by the official WAM news agency.

The UAE ambassador in Kazakh territory recalled that this is the second time his country has sent assistance to the Asian country: "Kazakhstan was one of the first countries to receive medical assistance from the UAE during the current pandemic. In April, the UAE sent a relief plane carrying 13 metric tons of various medical and preventive supplies to Kazakhstan, to support the efforts of 10,000 medical personnel to help contain the pandemic.

For his part, Madyar Menilekov, Kazakhstan's ambassador to the UAE, thanked the UAE leadership for its "great support" for his country. "Bilateral relations between our two countries are strong and fraternal relations. We can only overcome this crisis through cooperation and interdependence, as the UAE has demonstrated by providing humanitarian assistance to the Republic of Kazakhstan and many other countries," he said.

“Emiratos Árabes Unidos no ha escatimado esfuerzos para proporcionar los mejores recursos sanitarios y asistencia médica para apoyar a Kazajistán y fortalecer sus capacidades para hacer frente a las repercusiones de la crisis de la COVID-19", señaló Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan al-Jaber, embajador de EAU en Kazajistán

In addition, the UAE also sent an aid plane to Mexico on Tuesday carrying 10 metric tons of medical supplies and coronavirus test kits.

This aid will support some 10,000 Mexican health workers as they deal with the virus, providing coverage for Aztec efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.

In this regard, Ahmed Hatem al-Menhali, Ambassador of the UAE to Mexico, referred to this willing humanitarian cooperation: "Bilateral relations between the UAE and Mexico have developed significantly in recent years with the support and sponsorship of the leaders of both countries, who wish to develop mutual cooperation in many areas for the benefit of their people. "The dispatch of the medical aid plane to Mexico confirms that the UAE supports the Mexican people, supports all medical personnel and provides medical tools and supplies in their efforts to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

To date, the UAE has responded to the COVID-19 health crisis by providing more than 1,079 metric tons of aid to 72 countries in the international concert, supporting more than one million medical professionals throughout the procedure.

The Emirates continues to assert itself as the most active provider of overseas assistance to address the global issue of coronavirus. The UAE has already helped 72 nations without any impediment due to political, racial or religious reasons (in fact, the UAE has already assisted a major Middle Eastern rival, the Islamic Republic of Iran, on up to four occasions). The Arab nation has given aid to world powers and also to nations with fewer resources; a long list that includes countries such as China, the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, the aforementioned Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Brazil, Russia, Yemen, Ghana, Cuba and Afghanistan, among others.
