Emirati children form massive performance to celebrate 100,000 public school visits to Expo Dubai 2020

Four hundred students formed the '100K' sign near Terra - The Sustainability Pavilion to celebrate 100,000 public school visits to the Dubai World Expo 2020 since the mega event opens on 1 October 2021. 

It consisted of pupils from four schools, representing the Emirates Schools Establishment, with 100 students making up each of the four characters in the '100K' figure. 

The human installation was led by Her Excellency Jameela bint Salem Mesbeh al-Muhairi, UAE Minister of State for Public Education.  

Jameela bint Salem Mesbeh al-Muhairi said that the reason for the success of Expo 2020 and her pride in public school students stems from the contributions of wise leadership and their enthusiasm to support the spirit of creativity and innovation to achieve sustainable development and bring the country closer to achieving the UAE Centenary 2071 goals and excel in various sectors, including education. 

The Expo School programme, designed to inspire students of all ages to think critically, communicate effectively and grow intellectually, offers four selected free educational trips to UAE schools throughout Expo 2020: UAE Legacy; World of Opportunity; Sustainable Planet; and Universe in Motion. 

Running until 31 March 2022, Expo 2020 invites visitors from around the globe to join in the creation of a new world during a six-month celebration of human ingenuity, innovation, progress and culture.
