First NHC mission to China after the end of travel restrictions

In just 3 days, more than 60 Hong Kong-based Chinese entities have presented their interests in Spain and Latin America for 2023

After two years of flight restrictions, the Spanish consultancy NI HAO CONECTA (NHC) has led a business mission to Hong Kong to meet and discuss with top representatives of business groups, investment funds and family-offices the various opportunities and investment interest in Spain and Latin America.

In what is the first of these missions following the end of the Covid restrictions, the agenda in Hong Kong, a former British colony and financial centre of southeast China, included meetings with chairmen of major Asian groups and investment funds. In total, more than 60 meetings with senior executives from public and private companies operating in a wide variety of fields: Tourism, Infrastructure, Agri-Food and Real Estate, among other sectors interested in the Spanish and Latin markets

From Madrid, Laura González Escallada, president of NI HAO CONECTA and from Beijing, Wenjun Chen, advisor of the firm, have led this first mission after the end of the travel restrictions to China, and which precedes the future meetings that will take place during the year 2023 with the main objective of promoting the economy of Spain and Latin America in the Asian giant.

"In the last two years, we have worked hard to establish a solid and direct link between China and Latin America with Spain at the core. Now that we can finally meet in person, we can see that the interest in the Spanish market is more than visible," says Laura González.

In addition, during the trip, NHC organised a business meeting with great success under the title "Hong Kong - Madrid: Opportunities and Investment", held at the Marco Polo Hotel, in the heart of the city. The event consisted of an exhibition and presentation of the main investment opportunities in Spain. At the end of the event, attendees were able to enjoy a cocktail sponsored by Spanish food and beverage brands with presence and representation in Asia.

Giants such as China Tourism Group, China Travel Service, DeHeng Law Offices, Cainiao Smart Gateway, The Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, Sunwah Group, Headdor, CRRC, United Overseas Bank China or New Huo Asset Management are some of the entities within the NI HAO CONECTA network that have taken part in the first post-pandemic trip and showed interest in the Spanish and Latin markets

NI HAO CONECTA (NHC), a business and communication platform between China, Spain and Latin America, acts as the main axis in the search and development of business and investment opportunities through institutional, academic and governmental agendas.

As a consultancy specialising in Public Affairs, NI HAO CONECTA has an advisory board made up of renowned academics, consultants and experts from the national and international business environment, guaranteeing internationalisation processes and brand reinforcement in any of the three axes in the triangulation: Spain - China - Latin America.

The Spanish entity has its own communication channel with accredited seals, both in Western and Eastern social networks, and recognition in WeChat. In addition, in the framework of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Spain in 2023 and with the public intention shown by the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Kingdom of Spain to strengthen trade and cultural ties between them, NI HAO CONECTA is developing a major promotional campaign through a series of public and private activities throughout 2023.
