Fútbol en Marruecos y la COVID-19
Football returns to Morocco, a North African country with a great football tradition, after the contagion that occurred in the clubs of FUS, Wydad and the RS Berkane, within the D1 First Division, and MAS Fez, Tihad Bidaoui (TAS), Racing Casablanca and Chabab Benguerir, within the D2.
The Botola Pro (Moroccan Football League) was interrupted for a week from September 2nd until this very date (when the 26th round was in progress). It should be remembered that from March to July 27 it was also interrupted, as was the case in most European and North African leagues.
The dates of Matchdays 28, 29 and 30 will be communicated later by the LNFP. Some matches have been postponed for several days and it is very difficult to finish this year's Botola Pro.
Raja Casablanca leads the table with 45 points, followed by MC Oujda (41), Wydad Casablanca (40), RSB Berkane (40) and FUS Rabat (36), with the latter having a very difficult time due to the points difference in the table.
With so many matches being postponed it is difficult to see who is really competing in the league against Raja.
At the bottom of the table are IR Tangier (18) and the more relegated Raja Beni Mellal, with 9 points.
With all this, the start of the 2020-2021 League was scheduled for October 16, but it will be difficult to fulfill this desire as many games have been delayed.
We still have no idea who will be the champion of the Botola Pro of the COVID-19; in a month we will have the solution.
