After his re-election, he spoke clearly about the future of Morocco and its coach

Fouzi Lekjaa was elected president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on 24 June during the General Assembly held at the Mohammed VI complex near Salé.

Lakjaa's was the only candidacy and he had the confidence of the rest of the club delegates present at this meeting for the next four years, thus completing his third mandate.

The subsequent interviews with the president of the Moroccan federation were expected because he was going to be questioned about the future of both coach Vahid Halilhodzic and Chelsea player Ziyech

On the MFM radio station he confirmed that Ziyech will be at the World Cup in Qatar. "Hakim Ziyech will return to the Moroccan national team for the World Cup," said the president, who added that "the Moroccan national team will do honour to Moroccans, as it has good players with a high technical level".

From these words, one can read between the lines that Halilhodzic's time at the helm of the Atlas Lions is numbered. Lakjaa revealed that "like several supporters of the national team, I did not agree with the tactical choices of the coach" and ended his time in charge of the African team by commenting that "the national coach has failed to create a family atmosphere within the national team".

The next World Cup in Qatar, to be held in November and December, is a great showcase for a team as important as Morocco, which has a group of great players. The federation knows this and will decide on Halilhodzic at the next meeting of the steering committee where "a decision will be taken to even overcome these dysfunctions," announced Lakjaa.

The problems between Halilhodzic and Ziyech "had no specific reason", the president assured and revealed that "in the end I am the one responsible for these tensions, and I have no problem in assuming that responsibility".

Everything indicates that there will be a change in the Moroccan dugout and a coach of the house as Walid Regragui, current coach of Wydad Athletic Club of Casablanca, will be responsible for the eagles to fly at the World Cup in Qatar and give their best version.

While all this is going on around Morocco, the man most responsible for this situation, Ziyech, could leave Chelsea and sign as a new player for Milan, current champions of the Italian league.
