The Three Cultures Foundation of the Mediterranean is organising the presentation of the work of the translator and traveller María Belmonte on 6 July at 21:00, in a unique setting, the terrace of the Foundation.

María Belmonte, a technical and literary translator by profession, launched her literary career with "Pilgrims of Beauty: Travellers through Italy and Greece" (Acantilado, 2015), in which she expresses her passion for the Mediterranean. Her works combine essays, biographical accounts and travel literature. Her latest published work, "In the Land of Dionysus. Wanderings in Northern Greece", recreates the most remote Greek Macedonia. She will talk with the journalist and editor Ignacio F. Garmendia about the spirit of the traveller as a discoverer of the Mediterranean through observation and listening to the past.

The evening will be enlivened by the musical performance of accordionist and trumpeter Juan José Giraldo and clarinettist Óscar Acedo, members of the group Yomuri, to transport everyone to the atmosphere of their works.

Free admission until full capacity is reached, subject to prior registration on the Foundation's website.

Book sale and signing of copies after the presentation.
