Monia's Quartet in concert at Three Cultures Foundation on the occasion of Women's Day

In the month of March, and on the occasion of Women's Day, the Three Cultures Foundation offers a concert by the group Monia's Quartet, a unique musical proposal based on the fusion of different genres, which includes Afro-Caribbean rhythms, jazz and flamenco together with songs and touches of Arab origin.

Monia's Quartet advocates for the integration and assimilation of different musical concepts, betting on the universal diversity of music as an intercultural bridge, without fissures or barriers.

Its members, from Spain, Tunisia and Cuba, stand out for being versatile artists, with an extraordinary interpretative quality and a mastery of multiple instruments. Each of them brings their own particularity and an innovative vision of creation that does not lose the roots or the essence of their cultures.

On this occasion, Monia's Quartet will present Bakalawa, a proposal that shows the unfathomable richness of music without sticking to a specific category or style. Its name evokes the memory of a delicious Arab sweet consumed in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East whose origin goes back many centuries. Bakalawa is a nod to the sweetness of desserts, to the international essences reflected in the way the music is treated, Monia's vocal warmth and the subtlety of the arrangements.

Monia's Quartet shows in their performances a particular mixture of rhythms that recreate the different World Music, without ties, without borders, recreating an authentic rainbow of rhythms and sounds.
