Thanks to the joint collaboration between the Digital Development Agency (ADD) and the Startup Factory, specialised in innovation and digital entrepreneurship, the Facebook group "Meta" has announced having reached the threshold of 3,000 Moroccan companies related to digital marketing, on the occasion of the launch of the "boost with Facebook" programme.

According to statements issued by the CEO of the Startup Factory, Mehdi Alaoui, in statements reported by Rue20, "this year, we have trained more than 3,000 Moroccan companies established in the 12 regions of the Kingdom in digital marketing techniques", a fact even more remarkable since "more than a third of the participants are women".

According to a statement issued by "META", these training courses, provided by the Startup Factory, are free of charge and are offered in both French and Darija. Moreover, the programme has involved the participation of different SMEs, which are spread across the 12 regions that make up Morocco. This is a consequence of the objective to strengthen their skills in the use of digital in order to "improve competitiveness" and "increase online visibility".

One of the main objectives is to enable participants to benefit from the advantages of the digital economy, as the COVID-19 pandemic has changed consumer habits, in addition to increasing turnover and continuing online activity.

Likewise, the public policy programme manager of "META", Joelle Awwad, expressed his pride after declaring that "this symbolic figure of 3,000 companies is just the beginning, as in the coming years we can expect this number to increase to form more than 4,000 companies at the Moroccan level".

This increase represents a considerable achievement as during 2021 the "programme trained more than 1,700 SMEs in eight Moroccan cities, in the regions of Casablanca-Settat, Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, Sus-Masa and Dakhla". Now, in 2022, it has managed to reach the figure of 3,000, one of the company's main goals.

In this regard, thanks to the help of this programme, 80% of the participating SMEs were able to strengthen their marketing strategies, in addition to improving their position on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger.
