At 7:20 a.m. the first A400M aircraft arrived in Dubai from Kabul, and the second Spanish aircraft is scheduled to land at 8:20 a.m., also from Kabul. These two flights conclude the evacuation of Spanish aid workers from our country and Afghan collaborators and their families.

On these last A400M flights from Kabul to Dubai, 81 Spaniards who were still in Afghanistan are travelling, including embassy staff and military personnel from the Spanish Army and Air Force, 4 Portuguese military personnel and 83 Afghan collaborators from Spain, Portugal and NATO (14 collaborators from Spain, 19 from Portugal and 50 from NATO).

From there, an Air Europa flight will take them to the Torrejón Base at around 16:45 hours. On that flight will come the embassy staff, the non-flying military personnel and the rest of the Afghan aid workers.

The crews of the planes, that is, the personnel of the Air Force Wing-31, and probably some of the Air Take Off Support Squadron (EADA), will rest for a day in Dubai and will return to Zaragoza on Sunday 29th in the three A400M planes deployed by the Armed Forces in the evacuation operation.

Throughout this operation, the Spanish Armed Forces have evacuated a total of 1,898 Afghan aid workers and their families, from Spain and other countries such as the United States and Portugal, the European Union, the UN, NATO and the staff of the Spanish Embassy in Kabul.

The last 81 Spaniards remaining in Afghanistan, including military and embassy staff, are also returning on both flights.
