Sultana Khaya's trip to the Canary Islands on 1 June reveals her lies about her alleged house arrest and her alleged lack of freedom of movement. This trip, on the other hand, is yet another of Khaya's trips after having been used by the propaganda of the Polisario Front.

All her statements have been denied, not only by UN mandate holders such as the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders, but also by herself. Thus, her photos of herself wearing a military uniform and carrying a Kalahsnikov show that she cannot claim to be a human rights defender, nor can she claim to be a peace activist.

This web of lies is part of the recurrent propaganda carried out by the Polisario in the Tindouf camps in Algeria. Through the professional use of photographs and video recordings, situations of victimisation are created, a modus operandi remunerated by monthly funding and the granting of real estate.

Sultana Khaya's contradictions began almost twelve years ago. On 18 November 2018, she showed on the Spanish channel Antena 3 photos of Palestinian children injured in attacks in Gaza as Sahrawi children severely injured during the events in Gdim Izik. Subsequently, she was filmed laughing as she left the same TV set.

In the same vein, allegations of "rape and sexual assault" were denied by her niece in audio recordings that were shared on social media. These same recordings reveal, unambiguously, that she was instructed by Polisario members to fabricate and maintain the false accusation of the alleged sexual assault.

In spite of this, the judicial authorities launched investigations into the alleged facts, underlining that the person in question has never lodged a complaint about any rape committed against her, but rather lodges the allegations with the UN mechanisms.

Furthermore, a forensic doctor sent by the CNDH recently concluded that she suffers from behavioural disorders of irritation, violence and aggressiveness, something that was confirmed by her relatives, who stated that her mental state shows signs of depression, stress, anxiety and suicidal thoughts.

Sultana Khaya has tried to present herself as a victim despite the fact that she enjoys full rights as a citizen. Khaya has been able to demonstrate in her place of residence without any problem, to move between her home and her work, to collect her Moroccan passport, to take the PCR tests that allow her to leave the national territory without being prevented from freedom of movement, something that contradicts her statements.

The contradictions between Sultana Khaya's words and actions are numerous and reveal a real disconnect between her speech and her actions.

  1. How can a separatist supporter who is openly hostile to Morocco apply for and obtain a Moroccan travel document and go through all the administrative procedures to obtain a passport?
  2. How can a person who claims to have been raped refuse to be examined by a doctor who has been made available to her by the Laayoune CRDH, the national branch of the regional institution for the protection and promotion of human rights?
  3. How can a person who is alleged to have suffered harm as a result of an accident at the hands of an intoxicated truck driver driving a private company vehicle refuse to follow the steps of the investigative services to be heard about what she claims to have suffered?

The two American citizens who met her at her home also accompanied her unhindered on her journey from the Sahara to Spain. Thus, one by one, Sultana Khaya's lies crumble
