During the month of January, the Three Cultures Foundation reading club returns to read the Moroccan writer in his first foray into the noir genre. The members of "Three with books" meet in January to share their impressions of Tahar Ben Jelloun's "Insomnia".

The protagonist of this book, who suffers from insomnia, discovers that the only way he can get to sleep is by killing.

The first victim is his mother. But the effect is diminishing, forcing him to reoffend. The more important his victims are, the better he sleeps, and so the escalation continues.

"In 'Insomnia', Tahar Ben Jelloun challenges this evil that affects millions of people with unprecedented irony and humour" (Source: Cabaret Voltaire).

Tahar Ben Jelloun was at the Three Cultures Foundation on 1 December, talking about his work with Professor Lola López Enamorado.

This book is the current reading of the club "'Three with books".

The Three Cultures library has a batch of 30 copies of this work available for collective loans.
