The cultural entity continues with the development of the Halal Market project

The Three Cultures Foundation offers the event 'Adaptation of tourism companies to Halal and Muslim-Friendly certification'

The Three Cultures Foundation

The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation continues with the development of the Halal Market project and organises the III Online Participatory Forum 'Adaptation of tourism companies to Halal and Muslim-Friendly certification', coordinated by the Halal School of Cordoba and to be held virtually on 8 April 2021 at 12.00 p.m. (Spanish time).

The Halal and Muslim-Friendly tourism market is experiencing strong growth globally. Muslim tourists are growing in number and travelling more and more. Spain and Portugal, with the largest Islamic monumental and cultural heritage in Europe, have great potential to position themselves as a favourite destination for this public.

But, how to adapt to new customers? Adapting to Muslim customers may seem a challenge, as it is necessary to combine business, cultural and technical keys. This Participative Forum invites you to learn the basics of this transformation in order to welcome one of the most attractive niches in tourism today.

Programme:

12.00 p.m. Welcome by the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation

12.05 p.m. Presentation of the forum, by Antonio Jesús Reina (Head of the Department of Tourism Product Creation and Development at Turismo de Andalucía)

12.15 p.m. Talk: "Models of adaptation of tourism companies to Halal and Muslim-Friendly certification. Hotels, Restaurants, Services".

13.00 p.m. Case study example:

13.15 p.m. Participatory Forum.

This forum is coordinated by the Halal School, a training centre specialised in the halal concept. Created in 2014, and based in Cordoba (Spain), it offers online and blended training at international level, both to professionals and to organisations that have implemented or wish to implement a halal certification system.

It currently offers open training and consultancy in the areas of food, cosmetics, pharmacy, services, business management, tourism, transport and logistics.

The event will also be streamed live on the Facebook channel of the Three Cultures Foundation.

This activity is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund ERDF through the Interreg V-A Spain-Portugal Programme (POCTEP) 2014-2020.
