The BStartup programme of Banco Sabadell has launched BStartup Green, a programme aimed at environmental sustainability projects in 'pre-seed' and 'seed' phases where the investment is aimed primarily at validating the technology and business.

On Monday, the bank explained that in this first edition, three projects will be selected throughout Spain that will receive an investment of 100,000 euros per project.

BStartup Green focuses on emerging companies that, through technology or digitalisation, are capable of facilitating the transition to a more sustainable world through the lenses of energy transition, industry 4.0, smart cities and circular economy.

For the project selection, the Bstartup team will be supported by a committee of leading experts in the different sectors and the first call for BStartup Green, which is already underway, will remain open until May 9.

Yolanda Pérez, director of BStartup, pointed out that the ecological transition is one of the greatest challenges facing society: "At Banco Sabadell we want to support companies that, through innovation and technology, will facilitate and accelerate the necessary processes".
