'De cara al mundo', the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, delves into international current affairs to provide listeners with all the details so that they have sufficient tools to assess the situation.

The programme tackles the debate on whether to face Putin with all the consequences or whether to practice a policy of appeasement with the Russian president. Putin threatens Finland and Sweden over their intention to join NATO, while Turkey maintains its veto on Finns and Swedes for taking in Kurdish elements.

We will also discuss the situation on the ground and the end of the siege of the Azovstal steel mill, as the Ukrainians gain ground in Kharkov, and how the EU is taking a step forward on sanctions including on energy.

We will count on the testimony of Maria Briujovecka, a Ukrainian student of International Relations, and the analysis of Lucas Martín, an expert international analyst, to shed light on the Ukrainian situation.

The reopening of land borders between Spain and Morocco through the Ceuta and Melilla crossing points will also be discussed; yet another episode in the normalisation of diplomatic relations between Spain and the Alaouite kingdom.

As every Friday, the discussion will be conducted by Atalayar's regular contributors Claudia Luna, Pedro González and José María Peredo, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas.

'De cara al mundo', Friday 20 May from 22:05 to 23:00.
