"De cara al mundo": international analysis on Onda Madrid

The programme analyses the protests in Iran against the regime and the high death toll, the global situation with the war in Ukraine and the cutting of Nord Stream, and the work of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation

"De cara al mundo", the programme on Onda Madrid directed and presented by Javier Fernández Arribas, director of Atalayar, analyses in depth every week the current issues on the international scene.

Iran is the focus of attention due to the protests following the death of Mahsa Amini, the 22-year-old woman who was arrested for wearing the veil incorrectly, which have already left more than 70 people dead. Marta González Isidoro, an expert international analyst, will shed light on the Iranian scenario and the popular discontent with the Ayatollahs' regime.

Ukraine will once again be present in the microphones of "De cara al mundo" with the consequences of the partial military mobilisation ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the illegal referendums called by Russia in the Donbas and the complicated situation generated by the leaks in the Nord Stream gas pipeline. To discuss these issues, we will be joined by David Henenberger, director of the Madrid office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, who will also talk about the activities of his Foundation, Lucas Martín, an expert international analyst and collaborator with Atalayar, and María Senovilla, special envoy to Ukraine.

As every Friday, the discussion will be led by Atalayar's regular contributors, Claudia Luna, Mexican journalist and writer, and Pedro González, journalist and founder of Euronews, coordinated by Javier Fernández Arribas. It will deal with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin's threats and the referendums on Ukrainian territory, the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, the protests in Iran and the elections in Italy with the victory of Giorgia Meloni.

"De cara al mundo", Friday 30 September from 22:05 to 23:00.
