Oman and Jordan continue to explore their diplomatic relations. The two countries met in Amman, the Jordanian capital, in a showcase to review their ties. The event was attended by Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad al-Busaidi, who met Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman al-Safadi. Sheikh Hilal Marhoon al-Maamari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Jordan, was also present.

During this meeting, the two leaders reviewed the state of the relationship between the two countries and the cooperation that exists. "The two nations have experienced a historic and steady improvement in their relations," the diplomats commented. It has become clear to them that they have very good ties and that this needs to be further enhanced through mutual cooperation. The ministers said that both Oman and Jordan are interested in continuing to work to ensure that their citizens respectively see their quality of life improved and their interests protected.

In particular, the two leaders want to boost mutual work in specific economic sectors. Al-Busaidi and Al-Safadi stressed that they particularly want to further develop aspects of their countries' economies, culture and investment sectors. The meeting also included an exchange of views on a number of regional issues and matters of common interest that affect both sides.

One of the most important points that the two sides discussed was the Palestinian cause and the crises in Syria and Yemen. For them, it is important to boost aid to these regions through an Arab organisation that will face the challenges and give full support to these peoples. Both leaders expressed that all Arab countries should join together to show their support for their partners who share their religious orientation.

The two countries are at a very good moment in which diplomatic relations are deepening. Last month, a ceremony took place in which Oman's ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Hilal bin Marhoon bin Salen al-Maamari, praised the great relationship between the two sides.

This event was a presentation of shields to various Jordanian charities and associations by the Omani delegation. The event was the result of the two sides working together in setting up charity campaigns and celebrating their appreciation for helping the most disadvantaged people in society. The ceremony was an example of Omani and Jordanian working together, as demonstrated by the performance of folk songs from both countries, a performance of art from the Dhofar governorate and a group of dancers demonstrating the importance of dance and Jordan's cultural heritage.jordania oman

"Oman attaches great importance to charitable work and its values," the ambassador said. He also stressed the Omani country's and Jordan's recognition of the efforts of such organisations to improve the situation of their citizens, who sometimes do not enjoy the best conditions.

However, the Omani delegate stressed that this ceremony serves as an impetus for the associations and institutions of the two countries to continue to improve their relations and, above all, to strengthen cooperation in the service of the two peoples. The commitment of the Omani Embassy in Jordan alongside the Kingdom in the effort to support human rights and economic benefits for the poorest is noteworthy.jordania oman

"Jordanian-Omani relations are deeply rooted in various fields at all levels and are currently undergoing fundamental development," said Al-Maamari.

Jordanian charity groups were not far behind and were also keen to praise Oman's role in Jordan. The heads of the institutions pointed out that Omani aid plays an important role in the Kingdom and that thanks to their cooperation in charity and humanitarian work, the lives of thousands of people have been able to change for the better.
