This meeting reflects the depth of cooperative relations between security institutions and law enforcement agencies in the Kingdom of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the convergence of views on the centrality of security cooperation as an effective mechanism to address security risks and terrorist threats.

The framework of cooperation between the security services of the Kingdom of Morocco and their counterparts in Abu Dhabi includes the implementation of a programme of exchange visits between the security executives of both parties, with the aim of learning about the experiences and expertise in various fields and police specialisations, the DGSN said in a press release.

It also involves the implementation of joint cycles of specialised continuous training in the areas of security related to the fight against crime, the maintenance of public order and the enhancement of the role of science and new technologies in the field of policing. The programme includes the delivery of specialised intelligence training courses provided by the DGST for the benefit of Abu Dhabi's security executives.

The two sides discussed mechanisms to strengthen security cooperation, strengthen technical assistance, share experiences and best practices to enhance police training services to meet the security and stability expectations of the two brotherly countries, and strengthen joint efforts.

The Emirati side was briefed on the Moroccan experience in the field of maintaining public security and followed the explanations on the structural organisation and competencies entrusted to the various security units and formations responsible for ensuring the security of citizens and protecting their property.

It also reflects the common desire to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and the UAE in various security areas with the aim of ensuring greater security for both countries and their citizens.
