Several GCC countries participate in the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition

Saudi Arabia is well represented at ADIHEX 2022

The International Hunting and Equestrian Art Exhibition (ADIHEX), being held in Abu Dhabi, is a perfect opportunity for Arab countries to show the world their cultural and historical heritage, as well as how they apply innovation to ancient arts such as hunting with birds of prey.

On its second day, the heads of ADIHEX, the world's most important Arabian hunting, falconry and riding exhibition, noted the significant participation of associations and companies from the neighbouring kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Majid Ali Al Mansouri, chairman of the exhibition's Organising Council, as well as secretary general of the UAE Falconers Club, praised Saudi Arabia's participation in this edition of ADIHEX. According to Al Mansouri, the various communities of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have always been known, since ancient times, for their fondness and deep attachment to the sports of falconry, equestrianism and horsemanship. For Al Mansour, "the importance of cooperation in the field of environmental protection and preservation and of introducing the young people of the GCC to the authentic Arab customs and traditions that their parents and grandparents lived" is the main reason for holding such an important fair as ADIHEX.

In this edition of ADIHEX, Saudi Arabia is promoting the three great natural reserves that its government safeguards within its borders. These are the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve, located in the north of the Arabian country and covering an area of 130,000 square kilometres and comprising the Tubaiq, Khunfah and Harrat reserves.  It preserves a number of priceless historical heritage sites, as well as many natural areas that are unique in the world

Visit of Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan

The second day of ADIHEX was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the government representative in the Al Dhafra region. He is also a member of the board of the UAE Falconers Club. Along with him, several other UAE authorities visited ADIHEX facilities, including Rashid bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE); Majid Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Emirates Falconers Club and Chairman of the ADIHEX Senior Organising Committee; Ahmed Matar Al Dhaheri, director of the Ruler's Representative Office in Al Dhafra Region; Issa Hamad Boushehab, advisor to the chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent; Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, undersecretary of the Ruler's Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region; Khadim Abdulla Aldarei, co-founder and CEO of Al Dahra Holding and Shaikha Salem Al Dhaheri, secretary general of the Environment Agency.

ADIHEX will continue to offer the best of falconry, hunting and equestrian sports over the next few days, until Sunday 2 October.  Until then, more than 100 shows will take place in its facilities.
