Telefónica integrates Movistar into Apple TV and expands its ecosystem of devices

Telefónica has integrated the Movistar+ application into Apple TV devices, which is a further step in expanding the ecosystem of devices on its television platform, making it accessible to more people.

According to the Spanish operator in a statement, the Movistar+ app is compatible with Apple TV generation 4 and 5 (4K) devices. In order to have the application in the quick access bar, it will be necessary to look for it in the 'App Store' of the device and download it.

Navigation within the application is carried out using the Apple TV remote and, as it is integrated with Siri, it is possible to carry out voice searches and change the audio and subtitle of content by pressing the button on the remote's microphone.

This application maintains the same functionalities as those offered by Movistar+ for Smart TV, including automatic access within the home for customers with IPTV decoding and profiles, and downloading outside Spain is permitted within the countries of the European Economic Area from which Movistar+ can be viewed.

In this way, Telefónica affirms that it continues to offer "the best user experience accompanied by reliable, stable and secure connectivity and with continuous improvements in the television platform", such as the possibility of enjoying two channels at the same time on the same screen or compatibility with Chromecast for Android, iPhone and iPad devices.
